A report produced on the 15th October by Lain Garner Associates illustrates the best selling solar panels on the European market.
It is important to note that this report is based on volume of sale. Starting with Ying Li, sponsors of the up and coming World Cup in Brazil, they have consistently produced quality in quantity and their solar panels are a tier 1 panel based on high output and build quality. Included in this is their salt mist protection coating which has made them a firm favourite in coastal areas of Cornwall such as St Ives, Falmouth, Perranporth and even further inland in Truro. Ying Li have sold a huge 11834 kWp. Their closest competitor was Trina Solar with sales of 9043kWp. 12 of the top 20 are Chinese manufacturers with the closest European manufacturer Germany in 8th place and the UK/Japanese manufacturer Sharp in 11th. With the gap between efficiencies on monocrystalline and polycrystalline panels being very little, polycrystalline have now become the largest seller on the market.
