All renewables exported from China are subject to heavy taxes there is talk of it being between 20 & 60 percent. Wholesalers in the UK raised the price of their existing stock of solar panels from China. The reason for this is because China are no longer exporting solar panels to the UK because of the tax they will be subject to. This is in an effort to allow other European and American manufacturers back into the market. Unfortunately the knock on effect of this is a higher price to the consumer just as it was becoming affordable to a new market of buyers and the market was stabilising. The knock on effect of this is that panels are going up across the board, Chinese, Korean, American, Canadian. It’s time to get creative again.
The ‘greenest’ place in the UK? Yes, you guessed it…Cornwall! No. #1 for Renewables No. #1 for Solar Energy
